PharMerica operates more than 100 institutional pharmacies in over 40 states and serves nursing facilities that care for approximately 350,000 patients.We are recruiting for a Director of Regulatory and Clinical Services to be responsible for assisting hospital pharmacies in preparation for The Joint Commission (TJC); Kindred QSR Surveys; and Clinical Initiatives. Will be part of the Kindred Clinical Advisory Board.
Must have leadership skills and excellent knowledge of TJC requirements, Clinical Pharmacy Skills, combined with ability to create customer ready marketing materials for various initiatives. Will require extensive nationwide travel the first year in the position.Functions:Responsible for The Joint Commission Preparedness at our Hospital Pharmacy sitesResponsible for CMS preparedness Reviews/Audits at our Hospital Pharmacy sitesResponsible for preparedness for Kindred QSR AuditsResponsible for creating and measuring clinical initiatives across Hospital Pharmacy ServicesActive leader on the Kindred Clinical Advisory Board and the Antibiotic Stewardship ProgramWill work closely with the Kindred Consulting Physicians to create and implement clinical initiativesWill create supporting documentation (marketing type materials) for PharMerica Directors of Pharmacy used to sell local physicians about clinical programs.Integrate the clinical initiatives with the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Ultimately will add additional responsibilities to include IT initiatives, charge master support, use of RxLink Web, and ProTouch Order Entry.Performs other tasks as assigned.Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.Requirements:Must be a Pharmacist - PharmD preferred 60% Travel nationwide6+ years experience in Regulatory (Joint Commission and Clinical Pharmacy)Direct experience with TJC preparedness and current standardsExcellent Clinical training and experienceDirector of Pharmacy or Clinical Manager for multiple operations over their careerKnowledge of CMS, TJC, Kindred QRS requirementsExcellent communication skills neededAbility to reduce initiatives to writingKnowledge of Automation, IT Applications, and Knowledge of Certification for CE creditsLeadership qualities, organizational skills even when working on the road, persuasive skills, sales skills to implement initiativesInterested candidates please apply online.For more information, please contact:Marty Cherol - Corporate Recruiter (502) 261-2378 - fax
