The Academic Medical Center Clinical Business Manager (AMCâ"CBM) will be responsible for achi! eving and maximizing sales goals through account management, high level clinical proficiency and effective selling. The AMC-CBM will be the primary point of contact for Cubist with key hospital influencers and decision makers across key functional areas including but not limited to administrative officers, physicians, pharmacists and formulary committee members.

Minimum Basic Qualifications * :
Minimum of 7 years pharmaceutical, biotech or related sales experience.
Minimum of 3 years hospital sales experience.
Undergraduate degree.
Experience Required:
Demonstrated track record of sales succe! ss and leadership.
Ability to comprehend and utilize ! technical information.
7+ years total relevant pharmaceutical, biotech or related sales experience
3+ years hospital sales experience
3+ years academic center sales experience preferred
Strongly preferred that candidates reside within thirty (30) miles of territory
Desired Competencies and Qualifications:
Possesses deep customer knowledge and understands the academic hospitals and the goals and concerns of each targeted hospital within their defined territory (patient care issues, protocols, reimbursement).
Is able to create and implement a business strategy based on the marketplace dynamics.
Easily builds relationships within customer base and within Cubist team.
Ability to plan and organize to maximize business opportunities.
Must be able to educate targeted individuals on the clinical and economic benefits of Cubicin and work closely with Sales Management and Medical to present a ! unified approach and consistent data to the customer.
Possesses strong account management skills including but not limited to: negotiation, communication, influence and leadership.
Anti-Infective sales experience preferred.
Scientific degree preferred.
Work Environment:
This is a field-based position.
Overnight travel requirements vary by territory; travel also required to regional and national meetings.
Home office space necessary to accommodate IT equipment.
Driving/flying requirements differ by territory.
Physical Demands:
Driving/flying to and from targeted accounts.
Transporting LCD and setting up at Physician Education Programs.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
