Details:
This position is part of a new sales team to support Promacta and the anticipated new indication for thrombocytopenia associated with Hepatitis C.
This sales force will be focused on the Hepatitis C marketplace, and will reside in the Oncology business unit. The primary customer segments for this role are Gastroenterologists, Hepatologists and Infectious Disease Specialists.
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of GSK and therapeutic areas.
Effectively demonstrate the ability to translate product knowledge! into effective sales presentations.
Maintain knowledge an! d data, in a highly dynamic marketplace such as HCV
Have extensive knowledge of the reimbursement marketplace and the impact on each individual account.
Have extensive knowledge of Managed Care strategies, contracting and distribution model of the HCV marketplace.
Consult with HCV providers on appropriate patient selection and treatment options with GSK products.
Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales in HCV clinics and academic/community hospitals.
Develop and implement targeting strategies specific to each customer within an account (i.e., hepatologist, gastroenterologist, infectious disease specialist, mid-levels, nurses, social workers, business/office managers and pharmacists).
Propose and implement specific strategies for successful launch in HCVaT.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with GSK internal teams (Marketing, Sales, Payer Relations Managers, Regional Account Managers, Federal Account Managers, Medical Affa! irs and Product Information) and external teams (if applicable).
Develop and maintain relationships with members of professional associations through attendance and participation in national, state and local meetings, conventions and events.
Effectively use sales data and targeting tools to prioritize uptake in appropriate patients with high-potential customers.
Provide outstanding customer service by responding to our customers' requests, inquiries and needs.
Provide product educational programs/in-services to customers regarding GSK products and services.
Develop and deliver high-quality, value-added programs.
Attend educational forums (Grand Rounds, symposia).
Effectively manage allocated resources (i.e., financial, technical, people) to accounts.
