THE ROLE
We are looking for a skilled control engineer of power electronic converters with hands-on experience in microcontroller-based embedded systems, and knowledge of software development practices (CI/CD). In this role you will be part of dynamic team developing controls for Kempower products.
- Active member of RDI team focusing on software development activities for Kempower products
- Software development and testing, product testing
- Development of software test systems
- Research, development and testing of product improvements
- Supporting customer cases when needed
- Contributing to the management of software product requirements, changes, and lifecycle
In this role, occasional travelling is required.

WHAT HELPS YOU SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE
- We value experience in AC/DC and DC/DC power electronic converter topologies, their operating principles and control methods
- >3 years industry experience from control software development, preferably for power electronic devices
- >3 years' hands on experience on C and python programming languages, git workflow
- Experience in CI/CD practices, development and testing.
- Familiar with microcontroller embedded systems and associated hardware
- Familiar with simulation tools e.g. Plecs, Matlab/Simulink, HiL
- Solid technical understanding of power electronic systems and their control and hands-on experience on their testing
- Strong team player with solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- The role can be adjusted to match engineers from junior to senior professional levels
As our official company language is English, we expect you to have good English skills. Knowledge of Finnish or Swedish is a plus but not required.
