For detail informations about this job opportunity kindly read the description below. CHARACTERISTICS OF THE WORK Under direction performs professional pharmaceutical work. Responsible for prep! aring and dispensing medications and overseeing the work of Pharmacy Technicians. Performs related work as required.
Examples of Duties:
EXAMPLES OF THE WORK (These statements are intended to be illustrations of the work of this class). Coordinates the work of the Pharmacy Technicians. Checks the prescriptions prepared by Pharmacy Technicians and completes the labeling. Compounds and dispenses medicine and preparations according to prescriptions written by medical doctors. Counsels patients and answers questions regarding their medication.
Interacts with medical and nursing staff regarding medications .
Minimum Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT Must be licensed to practice Pharmacy in the State of Kentucky.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Stands for lengthy periods of time. Moves up to 30 lbs. of packaged pharmaceuticals. Stands on a step stool to stock high! shelves.
