Job Summary: Assists the pharmacist by filling physician orders for medications for oral, rectal, topical and injectable use; mixes IV admixture solutions as required ! using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow Hood; types labels, prepares and files charge slips and performs other related duties. Regulatory Requirements:
- High School diploma or the equivalent.
- One-year related pharmacy experience and/or training or graduate of certified training program/healthcare careers college.
- Education in all age groups ranging from newborn to the geriatric population obtained either in school education, experience or subsequent training.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Knowledge of automated pharmacy systems.
- Typewriters.
- IV Laminar Flow Hood - or willingness to learn.
- Must be motivated.
