We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician for Murray, KY operations. Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing, under supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, a variety of technical duties related to preparing and dispensing drugs in conformance with standard pharmacy policies and procedures. Essential responsibilities include:
Assists the pharmacist with filling prescriptions.
Assists other pharmacy technicians.
Troubleshoots third party prescription claims questions with an understanding of on-line rejections and plan parameters.
Provides, as needed, telephone and administrative support for the department. Job Requirements : Applicants should possess a High School diploma or equivalent. 1 year experience in a retail or mail order pharmacy preferred. Successful completion of a recognized Certified Pharmacy Technician Program is preferred, but not required. Must exhibit proven verb! al and written communication skills and strict attention to de! tail. Must be able to work in a team environment. Able to use common office equipment, and basic computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, web browser and email software are preferred.Knowledge of database search capabilities.
