Provide safe, appropriate, and effective use of drugs in and outside the hospital by serving as an infectious di! sease resource person and a clinical liaison to physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other hospital personnel. Provide patient care/services based on identified needs/developmental level for all patient populations; care/services may include assessment of individual patient need; incorporation of age-specific characteristics in patient education, communication, and planning; provision of individualized care relevant to patient needs; and recognition, monitoring, and provision of interventions as appropriate. Provides advanced contribution to profession by publication in peer-review pharmacy literature. May serve as Pharmacy Specialty Residency Director.
Qualifications
Education:
Doctor of Pharmacy degree and specialty residency training in infectious diseases required.
Experience:
Previous infectious disease clinical experience or demonstrated clinical skills required.
License/Certification
Licensed by the K! entucky Board of Pharmacy. Certification by the Board of Pharm! aceutical Specialties
