Provid! es accurate and appropriate assessment, care plans and follow-up on poisoning and toxicology related cases and requests through the use of the facilities of the poison center. Manages caseload assignments; demonstrates professional development/clinical competency; participates in peer review; performs other related duties.
Hours are 12p-9pp with some variance
Required
Must be a Registered Nurse, Medical Doctor, Pharmacist or nationally certified Physicians Assistant.
Must pass the National Certification exam for Specialist in Poison Information within two years of eligibility.
For Nurses and physicians assistants one year emergency room or critical care experience, for pharmacists one year hospital pharmacy experience. Desired
Previous poison center experience preferred.
