In this role you will review provider medication requests (prior authorization, step therapy, dispensing limit, ! tier exceptions, non-formulary, duplicate therapy, etc.) based on established Pharmacy policies and guidelines.
??? Assist with network participation, care with specialty networks, providers and using your knowledge of pharmacy plan design.
??? Recommend services for Humana Plan members utilizing alternatives available within the community and nationally.
??? Identify potentially unnecessary services and care delivery settings, and recommend alternatives if appropriate by analyzing clinical protocols.
??? Examine clinical programs information to identify members for specific case management and / or disease management activities or interventions by utilizing established screening criteria.
??? Respond to pharmacy related clinical and/or benefit issues from others within the organization, such as customer service, market representatives, and medical directors.
??? Conduct secondary pharmacy reviews, on escalations.
3+ Years Pharmacy Experience, Li! censed in KY
Training hours are 9:00 am- 5:00 ! pm M-F (training takes 2
weeks to complete);
