Assists pharmacists in providing medications to patients in an inpatient hospital setting; Prepares and delivers individual patient doses, batch doses. Participates in replenishing automated d! ispensing cabinets; provides customer service in Central Pharmacy.
Effective 4/1/09, the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy requires all pharmacy technicians to be registered with the state and pay a $25 fee within 30 days of hire. This registration must be renewed annually.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
This position requires dependability, ability to prioritize, good communication and customer service skills. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
Preferred Education / Experience
National Pharmacy Technician Certification Required. Hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred but not required.
