Description
Performs secretarial, clerical, technical tasks not requiring professional judgment, and supervised patient care tasks that may require professional pharmaceutical kn! owledge. Level 2 Pharmacy Technicians will perform complex IV admixtures and dispensing functions under a pharmacists supervision. A Certified Pharmacy Technician should perform more complex skills to include data collection, technician training and competency validation.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS PREFERRED:
Problem solving skills, computer skills, organization skills, communication skills.
EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS REQUIRED:
High school diploma / GED. State Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration, National Pharmacy Technician Certification, Level 2 technicians should meet a 90% accuracy level in pharmacy math and meet all the standards in the Pharmacy IV Admixture Competency (within 3 months of hire date)
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Previous work experience as a pharmacy technician.
