Further informations about this position opportunity kindly read the description below. Our client, a 300+ bed Hospital seeks a Medication Safety Officer to join their dynamic pharmacy department. The MSO will oversee the Medical Center's Medication Safety program including inve! stigating and analyzing reports of adverse drug events, implementing process changes in response to preparation/dispensing errors, regulatory requirements, and emerging medication safety literature, representing the medication-use safety perspective to the organization's design of its technology and automation systems, leading multidisciplinary medication safety groups, and educating staff on medication safety. Other expectations include precepting PGY1-Pharmacy residents, PGY2-Drug Information and PGY2-Health System Pharmacy Administration residents, and Doctor of Pharmacy students. This is a great opportunity to work in a teaching hospital environment!
REQUIREMENT: Candidates should have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and have completed a PGY1-Pharmacy, and PGY2 residency or fellowship residency OR PharmD with 5 years of experience. Active KY Pharmacist License or eligible to reciprocate. Additionally, candidates must possess excellent writing, analytical, cl! inical, and interpersonal skills.
