Wickliffe Pharmaceutical Account Manager Position
Wickliffe Pharmaceutical is a Lexington-based veterinary-only compounding pharmacy. Compounded medications improve the quality of life for many animals and are an integral part of the equine veterin ary industry. Wickliffe’s mission is to provide our animal patients with the highest quality compounded drugs. We are looking for a customer service account manager with knowledge of the equine or veterinary industry who can maintain and expand relationships with our equine veterinarian clients and clinics. Ensuring excellent customer service is the primary responsibility of the Account Manager.
The position is Full-time; Monday â€" Friday; 9:00am â€" 5:00pm
Competitive Salary and Benefits; some travel may be required.
Essential Functions:
- Managing a portfolio of veterinary accounts.
- Maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients.
- Prepare routes to visit each of the accounts; prepare special client activities and attend trade shows when appropriate.
- Regularly meet with the Director of Sales in order to provide feedback on company initiatives and identify opportunities for growth.
- Ensure com pliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain professional business relationships with veterinarians, physician’s assistants, nurses, practice managers and purchasing agents.
- Create personal sales plans (territory and account plans) and set objectives in accordance with the company’s overall strategic marketing plan.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with your accounts to establish positive and productive relationships and ensure that our product and service standards are met.
- Maintain internal lines of communication with marketing, customer care and staff pharmacists to ensure timely responses to customer inquiries and issues.
- Represent a positive and professional image of the company externally and internally.
- Participate in required regional, district and corporate meetings.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Be self-motivated, take initiative, and possess a strong customer orien tation.
- Strong presentation
- Analytical and customer engagement skills.
- Excellent communication, management and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel with occasional overnights required.
- Ability to use software systems.
Required Credentials:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Previous experience in veterinary health desirable.
- Valid driver’s license, insurance and vehicle available for travel within territory with no limitations for air travel.
