Harding’s Logistics is a busy two-man home delivery company specialising in the delivery of furniture.
Our mission is to offer the very best service available to our clients in regard to, professionalism, efficiency and outstanding customer service.
Harding’s services are used all year round by a selection of the largest furniture retailers and 3PL logistics companies in the country.
We are looking to expand significantly over the next 18 months and were seeking experienced candidates to enable us to do this without diluting the quality of service our clients expect.
What you will be doing:
· Assisting a colleague to correctly load your company vehicle with the day’s deliveries at one of our clients’ depots.
· Delivering goods to customers in their homes in a pre-routed order given to you by our client.
· Building a good rapport with each customer and leaving a lasting impression.
· Ensuring all goods are delivered safely and in good time with no damage to the products or the customers property.
· Completing any/all relevant paperwork and making sure vehicle is left clean and tidy each day.
Essential Skills:
· Punctuality – timekeeping throughout the day is essential to ensure customer timeslots are achieved.
· Presentable – Your appearance and that of your vehicle are a reflection on the company so we ask that uniform always be worn, and your vehicle is kept clean inside and out.
. Reliability - An absolute must for us, being let down on the day of your shift isn't something we can tolerate.
· Organisation -we seek an organised individual who can adapt to changing priorities within a working day.
· Communication – Good communication with us, our clients and the customers throughout the day is essential to ensure everything runs smoothly.
· Customer service – Customers will complete satisfaction surveys based on the delivery service you provide so we are looking for a ‘people person’ who enjoys meeting new people and has the right customer service skills to ensure positive surveys.
· Team Player – We have a friendly and experienced team who all share a common goal which is to get the job done correctly and work hard for each other to ensure we are the best. We are looking for someone to fit into this ethos and work hard for the team.
· Mechanically minded – There is some assembly work required so a basic knowledge of tools and how things go together is advantageous.
· Physically fit – We do undertake heavy lifting everyday in this role so being fairly fit and strong is something you will require to be successful.
· Pride in your work – Finding someone who takes pride in a job well done is our aim.

This role is paid at £115.00 a day but increases to £120.00 a day after a successful three month probation period. Pay reviews are then carried out annually based on performance.

- driving: 5 years (required)
- Light Commercial Vehicle & Delivery Drivers: 2 years (preferred)
