Department Marketing Statement
The Pharmacy department at Baptist Hospital East is comprised of the equivalent of 60 full-time employees. The department is open 24 hours a day, seven days per week.
The Pharmacy is a full-service department providing both clinical and distributive services. Pharmacy uses the latest sophisticated technology to provide these serv! ices. These include a dedicated pharmacy computer system, auto! mated dispensing cabinets, a robotic cart-filling system and a high speed unit dose packaging system that facilitates bar-coding of oral medications. Clinical data mining software is available for extended pharmacist involvement in patient care.
Responsibilities
Responsible for providing evidence-based patient centered pharmaceutical care to support antimicrobial stewardship for BHE patients, optimizes medication therapies, performs the functions of a staff pharmacist as necessary and other projects as assigned by the Clinical Coordinator, Pharmacy Manager, or Director of Pharmacy.
Qualifications
A.Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy with Pharm D in Pharmacy.
B.Kentucky Pharmacist Registration or eligible.
C.Residency training or previous Infectious Disease experience required.
D.Board Certification is desired in area of specialty.
