Certified Pharmacy Technician

Assists the pharmacist in daily activities of dispensing medications and general operations of the pharmacy department.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Accurately enters prescription details in patient profile, selects correct medication, selects correct supplies and educational materials, all under the immediate supervision of pharmacist.
- Maintain management assigned productivity standards.
- Communicates with patients and prescriber offices regarding pending orders..
- Role may include some case management responsibilities.
- Answer inbound patient, physician’s office, vendor, and internal customer calls, as well as, make outbound calls.
- Track packages shipped via courier to ensure delivery; resolve delivery issues as needed.
- Monitor product inventory levels.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager.
Internal/External Contact:
Must be able to communicate with internal customers including all levels of management and staff. Must be able to communicate wit! h external customers such as patients, doctor’s offices, oth! er vendors, clients, and insurance companies.
Minimum Education Required:
Pharmacy Technician training; Certified Pharmacy Technician through PTCB
Minimum Experience Required:
1-2 years experience as a pharmacy technician working in a retail, hospital or home health care environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required (except where noted as preferred):
Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
Must have strong data entry skills, be detail oriented, be self motivated, able to work independently, and work in an open office environment.
Physical Requirements:
Position will require individual to stand for approximately 30% of the workday. Ability to correctly input data into a computer. Ability to communicate effectively
Hours:
2:30pm-11pm Monday - Friday
Pay:
$13.50
