Candidate must have prior experience. The current opening is for a mid-day shift 1pm to 7pm Monday thru Friday and occasional Saturday shifts (10am to 2pm).
Job Purpose:
Assist Pharmacist in the data entry, prescription preparation and delivery of medications to patients.
Duties:
- Helps pharmacists and patients by greeting them in person and by phone; answering questions and requests; referring inquiries to the pharmacist.
- Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions; preparing labels; calculating quantities.
- Maintains records by recording and filing ! physicians' prescriptions.
- Ensures medication availab! ility by delivering medications to patients.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
