Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY: Works independently, at the direction of a pharmacist, to assure safe, accurate, and expedient distribution of pharmaceutic! als. Demonstrates computer skills and strong interpersonal ski! lls. Performs applicable procedure to necessary statistical criteria on an initial, quarterly, and annual basis. Areas of practice include unit dose distribution, IV admixture, controlled substance distribution and audit, unit and stock inspection, and support of clinical programs. All employees will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training & Licensure: High school graduate or equivalent required. National Certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board required.
Knowledge, Experience & Special Skills: Hospital pharmacy experience preferred. Completion of BRMC Technician III Training; Knowledge of Pharmacy Laws and Regulations; Knowledge of generic and brand name pharmaceuticals; Knowledge of Controlled Substance Regulations; Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations; Professional focus and attitude.
PHYSICAL ! REQUIREMENTS STRENGTH FACTOR: L ¿ Light Work - Requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or when the job requires working at a productions rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even thought the weight of those materials is negligible.
