CLINICAL PHARMACIST - INPATIENT PHARMACY

Location: Owensboro, Kentucky

Provides clinical pharmacy services throughout the hospital. Assists in staffing surgery satellite and central pharmacy in distribution areas as needed.
Job Responsibilities
  • Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug related problems.
  • Provides drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
  • Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.

Adheres to all organizational policies and procedures. Education
Bachelor's of Science degree in Pharmacy required. Doctorate degree prefe rred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Licensed as a Pharmacist (R.Ph.) in the state of Kentucky required. Certified as a Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider preferred.
Work Experience
None required.
Skills and Attributes
Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
