Description of Job Duties

Performs inspections and investigations of facilities issued permits by the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy for compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and performs other duties as required.

Work county will be determined by home county of the selected candidate.

This position is for the Central Region of the state, and will include the following counties:

Anderson, Barren, Boyle, Carroll, Casey, Fayette, Franklin, Gallatin, Garrard, Grant, Green, Hart, Henry, Jes! samine, LaRue, Lincoln, Marion, Mercer, Nelson, Owen, Scott, S! helby, Spencer, Taylor, Trimble, Washington, and Woodford.

Selection Method :
Qualifying: All candidates who apply and meet the minimum requirements are eligible for placement on the register for hiring consideration.

HEALTH INSPECTION

Characteristics of the Class :
Performs inspections and investigations of facilities issued permits by the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy for compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws; and performs other duties as required.

Typical Working Conditions and Unique Physical Requirements :
Extensive travel required for field activity. In the administration of licensure examinations, may be required to work on Sundays (usually no more than three per year).

Additional Requirements :
Upon appointment, employees in this class may be required to maintain a valid driver's license and required to drive a licensed vehicle. This status may b! e necessary for the length of time in this class. If this is necessary it will be listed in the specific position description for that position. Applicants and employees in this classification may be required to submit to a drug screening test and background check. Applicants and employees in positions which perform job duties that may require contact with offenders in the custody or supervision of the Department of Corrections or with youth in the care, custody, or supervision of the Department of Juvenile Justice must meet qualifications pursuant to the federal Prison Rape Elimination Act, 28 C.F.R.115.17 and 115.317.
